Shape the Future of Nursing & Midwifery Research in WA's Top-Ranked School
At ECU, we are transforming the future of healthcare. The School of Nursing and Midwifery is recognised for its commitment to excellence in education, impactful research, and meaningful community engagement. Ranked the #1 University in WA for Nursing (Good Universities Guide, 2025), and having maintained our 5-star rating for undergraduate teaching quality for 18 straight years, we are proud to graduate the most registered nurses in Western Australia. Our School continues to set the benchmark for nursing and midwifery education and research nationally and globally.
With a strong focus on improving health outcomes through socially accountable and inclusive practices, our School is committed to preparing the next generation of nursing and midwifery leaders. Our teaching and research is grounded in humanitarian principles of social justice, equity, and inclusion, and our community-focused approach ensures that we remain at the forefront of real-world, translational impact.
Our research agenda is driven by four key areas:

These research areas are dedicated to enhancing the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities through research excellence and innovation. Our outputs are highly cited – 50% more than the world average – and we work in close partnership with leading health services across WA, Australia and internationally.
We are now seeking a dynamic and visionary academic leader to take on the role of Associate Dean, Research. - Foster a supportive environment for early and mid-career academics to thrive;
