The School of Arts and Humanities seeks a highly motivated and experienced senior lecturer to coordinate its participation in ECU’s Curriculum Transformation Program and enable and develop school academics to enact successful educational innovation and pedagogical reform. You will be a leader and enabler of transformation for excellent student outcomes.
The Role
The Academic Coordinator - Courses Transformation (ACCT) will work to coordinate and enable a variety of curriculum-related activities across the School’s courses portfolio, including the design, development, and implementation of new courses and pedagogical approaches. In doing so the ACCT will work across all discipline and course areas within the school, interacting regularly with school executive members, course coordinators, discipline leads, and other academics involved in course design and delivery. The ACCT will play a key part in the School’s participation in ECU’s comprehensive Curriculum Transformation Project which is a sector-leading development to assure the success and integrity of courses into the future.
**Responsibilities include**:
coordinating the school’s comprehensive engagement with Curriculum Transformation;
developing school academics’ capabilities for successful delivery of programmatic learning;
enabling innovations in pedagogy and delivery in response to new technologies;
liaising closely with key internal stakeholders to ensure the success of Curriculum Transformation; and
supporting the Associate Dean, Teaching and Learning in oversight of curriculum, student success, and related matters
The role will report to the Associate Dean, Teaching and Learning and be a member of the School Leadership Network.
Selection criteria
To be considered for this position, you will need to have a PhD in a discipline relevant to the School of Arts and Humanities. You will also need to demonstrate, based on past achievement and potential for future development, that you can:
lead successful change through peer engagement with academics at all levels in designing and delivering courses and units of study;
design and deliver curricula informed by contemporary scholarship of learning and teaching;
enable academics across a range of disciplines and pedagogical approaches to develop effective educational innovations;
manage and oversee curriculum change within a university environment;
work collaboratively with colleagues across the university to support effective in curriculum development and management; and
respond rapidly and effectively to changes in technologies that influence curriculum and pedagogy.
It is highly desirable that you are able to teach within one or more of the School’s core disciplines (please see the School website for a list of courses) and have demonstrated experience in that teaching.
You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry Personal Excellence and Courage.

This full-time, fixed-term position attracts a remuneration of $138,726 to $159,403 p.a (Level C) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
