Hydraulic Technical Solutions is an independently owned company specialising in hydraulic repairs, servicing, and fabrication. While we offer mobile hydraulic hose services for on-site convenience, our workshop is the heart of operations, focusing on maintaining high-quality standards and efficient service.

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced full-time Workshop Supervisor to lead and manage all aspects of our workshop operations.

As the Workshop Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing Production: Oversee and coordinate all tasks within the workshop to ensure smooth operations.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all final products meet both HTS standards and client requirements.
  • Task Delegation: Assign daily tasks to workshop and machine shop personnel and provide support to resolve any issues that arise.
  • Client and Supplier Communication: Maintain daily communication with clients and suppliers to guarantee timely job completion.
  • Work Management Software: Regularly update software to track progress, ensure accuracy, and maintain transparency on all jobs.
  • Quoting Jobs: Prepare and provide accurate quotes for clients, ensuring timely and clear communication.
  • Team Development: Support the skills development of all workshop employees through guidance and mentorship.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the office team to align on production schedules and parts management.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following:

  • Qualifications and Experience: Trade qualification or a strong background in hydraulics/mechanics. Prior experience in a Workshop Supervisor or Leading Hand role is essential.
  • Positive Attitude: A proactive, "can-do" approach with a drive to achieve success both personally and for the company.
  • Work Ethic and Quality: Strong attention to detail, a solid work ethic, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Adaptability: The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, even in high-pressure environments.
  • Customer Focus: Well-presented with excellent customer service skills, numeracy, and communication abilities.
  • Licensing: A current unrestricted Australian driver's license (manual preferred). A Forklift Ticket is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Residency: Must be an Australian resident.
