Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Inventory Control
- Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels for raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- Conduct daily cycle counts and lead 6-monthly, monthly perpetual, and pallet stocktakes.
- Reconcile CHEP and Loscam pallets weekly.
- Manage and update the blocked stock file; lead weekly blocked stock meetings.
- Report on inventory turnover, shortages, and excesses.
- Implement and uphold inventory control procedures and compliance standards.
- Identify process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Finance on stock valuation and reporting.
- Action Quality Forms (QFs) to manage blocked stock outcomes (scrap, return, release).
- Provide SAP returned stock listing to Materials Team.
- Maintain tidy stock areas with correct labelling, including Dulux label handling.
Goods Receival:
- Oversee goods receiving and dispatch processes, ensuring accurate documentation and SAP updates.
- Raise purchase orders for low stock items and follow up on overdue internal and external deliveries.
- Manage raw material returns and credits with Production and Procurement.
- Receive, receipt, and credit returned goods; manage Copper Wire Process.
General
- Ensure accurate and timely SAP data entry.
- Coordinate with Procurement and Production to align inventory with schedules.
- Support team collaboration and attend regular meetings to improve performance.
- Assist other departments as needed.
- Learn and provide backup for site despatch processes.
Job Specific Requirements:
- Certificate or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred
- Experience using SAP or similar inventory management systems
- Valid forklift license (preferable)
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Solid understanding of inventory control, stocktaking, and materials workflow
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proactive, reliable, and accountable with a focus on accuracy and process improvement
- Adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
