Business Analyst | Data and Analytics | 3 month contract | North Brisbane

Your new company

Large organisation based on the Sunshine coast with a large data portfolio of projects, starting a new era for data and analytics within. Looking for a Business Analyst with expertise in data for an initial 3 month contract with possible extension

Your new role

The Business Analyst will sit within the Insights and Analytics Unit, responsible for data and analytics services, organisational performance analysis, data and information governance, knowledge management, load planning and forecasting, performance reporting, privacy and right to information, business intelligence, data lake and data warehousing services and support. You will be responsible for complex business processes, systems and structures, identifying business requirements and successfully implementing business improvements; collaborating with stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritise requirements that align with the data analytics roadmap; and managing the data integration requirements for key components of foundation technology uplifting.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong Business Analysis skills, minimum 5 years in data and analytics projects
  • Demonstrated experience in requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation techniques, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience and highly developed analytical skills, ideally with understanding and experience in the planning, development, integration and implementation of data warehouse and analytical platform, preferably within higher education.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities, with the capacity to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively through the establishment and maintenance of collaborative relationships across and outside the organisation
  • Familiarity with agile and iterative methodologies, promoting collaboration and adaptability in business analysis projects.
