Business Intelligence Data Analyst

We are a leading national Logistics and Warehousing business based in Southern Brisbane. We are seeking a Business Intelligence Data Analyst to lead the development, implementation, and management of PFM's data, reporting, and analytics capabilities. This hands-on, full-time, on-site role will report directly to the CIO and work collaboratively across business functions to deliver operational and strategic insights that drive performance and continuous improvement.


Role Overview

As a BI Data Analyst, you will be responsible for transforming complex data into actionable insights through advanced reporting, visualisation, and automation. You will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and relevance of data used across the organisation, and play a key role in enabling evidence-based decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain BI solutions for data extraction, analysis, and visualisation.
  • Optimise ETL pipelines and automate reporting workflows using Power Automate.
  • Ensure data quality through monitoring and feedback loops.
  • Create dashboards and reports using Power BI to support decision-making.
  • Build predictive models and trend analyses to identify improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • Experience in data exploration, ETL, modelling, and visualisation.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, DAX, and SharePoint.
  • Strong SQL skills (SQL Server, Postgres).
  • Python experience for analysis and automation.
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques is a plus.
  • Strong communication and business insight.
  • Experience in logistics, warehousing, or transport is highly desirable.
