The Role

We are seeking an experienced and quality focused Civil Site Manager with the capability to oversee multiple Projects and Project teams which includes a Site Supervisor, Leading Hand and crew.

With your proven civil construction experience across diverse infrastructure and industrial projects, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Projects within your scope. This includes partnering with the various Project teams, contractors, suppliers and clients to ensure delivery of the project on time, on budget, and to a high standard of safety and quality.

Working in Melbourne, the surrounding region, and from time to time in regional Victoria, this position will work on a variety of Tier 1 infrastructure and site-based projects in a variety of industries such as renewables, infrastructure upgrades, and the industrial sector.

From time to time, this role will involve living away from home, dependent on the Project.

Role Focus:

  • Ensure projects within your scope comply with the many industry and workplace legislative requirements that apply.
  • Understand the contract obligations for each project and ensure compliance with scope and quality standards.
  • Work alongside Project Supervisors to keep project teams and contractors engaged
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to cost control and resource management, including managing labour, plant, and materials efficiently across Projects.
  • Monitor and communicate project milestones to key stakeholders.

About You

To be successful in this role, candidates will have:

  • Proven civil construction experience across diverse infrastructure and industrial projects.
  • Remediation and demolition expertise highly regarded, with strong knowledge of safety and environmental compliance.
  • Refinery, petrochemical, and industrial sector experience highly valued due to complex operational requirements.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills to facilitate successful oversight and engagement with the various project teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple work fronts simultaneously, successfully problem solve and work independently when required.
  • Willingness to work on both local and remote projects.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical and pass any/all random drug and alcohol tests.
