Role Description:

Blue Fox Health is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team as a subcontractor. As a subcontractor, you will provide person-centred clinical support to our participants and collaborate with our team to deliver quality care. The salary for this position is based on experience and will range from $100 to $130 per hour (depending on experience).

The position is to work from home. However, you will travel to participants' homes for interventions. Travel time is paid at a rate of 50% of the billable rate, given the new and updated NDIS pricing arrangements. The position is listed as Melbourne; however, we welcome applications from anywhere as we will source participants in your area.

Km allowance is 99c per km

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of NDIS participants, considering their individual needs and goals.
  • Conduct home visits with NDIS participants (you will be paid for travel time to and from your home)
  • Develop and implement intervention plans, including therapeutic strategies, assistive technology prescriptions and assessments.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management notes and write reports on participant services.
  • Liaise and collaborate with participants' families, medical practitioners, and other allied health professionals as required.
  • Stay updated on NDIS policies, guidelines, and referral processes to ensure compliance and provide accurate information to participants.
  • Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards in line with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia's guidelines.
  • Take responsibility for managing your own schedule and appointments, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
  • Current Australian driver's license.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with participants and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent knowledge of the NDIS framework, including policies, guidelines, and referral processes.
  • Willingness to obtain a police check and work with children's clearance.
