Cultural Strategic Coordinator

This is a unique opportunity for a culturally grounded professional to take on a strategic and operational role supporting both the People & Culture and the Indigenous Policy teams. The Cultural Strategic Coordinator will play a key role in embedding cultural safety across recruitment, policy, and organisational practices.
The role is split evenly between two teams, offering a dynamic and collaborative environment. You will be involved in shaping inclusive recruitment processes, supporting internal cultural learning, and contributing to the development and implementation of strategies that reflect the voices and wisdom of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and Māori communities.
You will coordinate recruitment activities from start to finish, including advertising roles, organising interviews, conducting reference checks, and supporting onboarding. You will also attend interview panels to help assess cultural safety alignment and contribute to the development of culturally safe recruitment strategies and talent sourcing initiatives.
In addition to recruitment, you will support policy development and review, assist with strategic projects, and help facilitate cultural learning opportunities such as yarning circles and internal events. You will engage with First Nations stakeholders, community leaders, and organisations to ensure diverse perspectives are reflected in decision-making and organisational culture.
This role requires someone with experience in HR, recruitment, policy, or project coordination, and a strong understanding of cultural safety and inclusive practice. You will be organised, proactive, and passionate about creating meaningful change. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential.
