With our diverse genre of venues such as Aged Care & Early Learning Centres, cafes, and restaurants-- we are seeking qualified and experienced entry-level Chefs for an immediate start

What do you do?

  • Be available for rostering 7 days a week
  • Willing to Travel to locations outside Geelong. Travel expense and accommodation provided based on the location.
  • Be fit, healthy, hardworking, and dependable
  • Observe and maintain COVID-19 safe work practices at all times
  • Promote a high level of safety, quality, hygiene and PPE standards (extremely important)
  • Have the ability to work to the sites and meet deadlines and expectations
  • Be the proactive and professional chef that our industry can count on

What do you need? 

  • Certificate III (or similar) in Commercial Cookery
  • Food Safety Certification (mandatory)
  • Previous experience with Aged Care or Early Learning Facilities, Cafes, and Restaurants are highly preferred
  • Previous experience in a commercial cooking environment as a qualified or "acting chef"
  • An understanding of dietary requirements of the clients of an Aged Care and/or Early Learning Centre facility is highly desirable
  • The ability to ensure all activities are diligently undertaken within food safety standards
  • A motivated, enthusiastic and positive "can-do" attitude
  • Ability to showcase teamwork but takes initiative proactively
  • Ability to communicate (both written and verbally) effectively with management and staff and work with minimal supervision
  • You MUST have your COVID19 + Flu Vaccinations
  • National Police Check and an Employee WWCC Card, and be able to provide proof (if working for Aged or Child Care)
