The Opportunity:

We're looking for a
Senior Manager – Virtual CFO
to join our team and lead the delivery of outsourced finance services across our client portfolio.

As a Senior Manager – Virtual CFO, you'll provide strategic financial advice, oversee reporting and compliance, and optimise clients' finance functions. You'll play a key role in shaping business performance, leading a team of finance professionals, and collaborating across Boyce to deliver integrated solutions.

Your day will be dynamic and impactful, combining technical expertise, leadership, and client engagement. It may look something like this…

  • Financial Advisory and Reporting:
    Lead the preparation of budgets, management reports, and financial statements. Provide clear, actionable insights that help clients make informed decisions.
  • Bookkeeping and Compliance Oversight:
    Review and manage bookkeeping services to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across client operations.
  • Process Improvement:
    Evaluate and enhance clients' finance functions and back-office operations. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve financial outcomes.
  • Team Leadership:
    Manage and mentor accountants and bookkeepers within the VCFO team. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Client Engagement and Collaboration:
    Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver tailored financial solutions. Collaborate with other Boyce business units to support broader client needs.
  • Strategic Development:
    Contribute to business growth by identifying new service opportunities and aligning delivery with Boyce's strategic goals.

About You:

We're looking for a strategic thinker with strong technical capability and leadership experience in finance or accounting. You'll be passionate about helping clients thrive and confident in managing complex financial operations.

If you have some of the following skills, experience, or qualities, we'd love to hear from you:

  • Qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA/CPA preferred).
  • Proven experience in internal Finance teams, financial reporting, budgeting, and advisory services in Public Practice.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping and compliance requirements.
  • Industry knowledge in agriculture is desirable, or the ability to quickly transfer knowledge from other sectors.
  • Experience leading teams and managing client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to build trust and deliver value across diverse client environments.
