Tomago, New South Wales, Australia Direct Personnel Services Full time $60,000 - $90,000 per year

**Direct Personnel are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Fitter for a company located in Tomago.

Duties:**

  • Work will be on overhead cranes and lifting equipment and will be on 2 major sites in Tomago and the Port of Newcastle. The diversity you have been looking for is right here
  • This is a long-term role with a stable company with an international presence. This is not a short-term casual or shutdown role.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Additional tickets including Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Dogman, Rigging, Forklift, Confined Spaces and Work at Heights are highly regarded but not essential as training will be provided.

  • To be successful we require Trade Qualifications in Mechanical Fitting or similar and a minimum 2 years Post-Trade experience. Experience on hydraulics and pneumatics are also highly regarded. Overhead Crane experience will be very highly regarded but is not essential.

  • Physically fit

  • Must be reliable and work well within a team environment
  • Ability to work safely and effectively
  • Reliable transport and drivers license

Benefits:

  • Good rates and overtime as well as some shutdown work will be available but more so the opportunity to join a stable team in a long-term position is what we are offering.

  • Weekly Hours: 6am – 3pm (plenty of overtime on offer)
