**THE OPPORTUNITY**:
We are looking for a Mechanical Fitter for a Permanent role in our Tomago Transformers Operation. Working as part of a busy team, you will be hands on with in-house designed and manufactured packages that are engineered to international standards, incorporating individual components to provide total mining solutions.

You will be required to complete work on New and Overhaul Transformers. You will be required to modify, assemble and fit components to Transformers. This can include welding or brazing assemblies and components, and the repair or replacement of defective parts as required.

You will be required to:

- Perform trade duties in relation to the manufacture, building and fit out of Ampcontrol products and services including welding, machining and drilling;
- Inspect for engineering compliance against job packages for new and second hand products and equipment;
- Perform some Sheetmetal work as required;
- Complete required production documentation in line with quality standards;
- Contribute to and participate as a team member.

**YOU'LL NEED THESE TO SUCCEED**

Your willingness to gets hands on in a manufacturing environment will be complemented by the following:

- Trades Qualification as a Mechanical Fitter / Machinist;
- Competent in metal working machinery;
- Forklift & Drivers License;
- Mig and Tig welding experience;
- Machining skills - manual type;
- Steel Fabrication experience;
- Rigging/Dogging experience (desirable);
- Working at Heights experience (desirable)
- Confined Space experience (desirable).
