The Opportunity
We're hiring multiple full-time Marketing Officers to join our service-driven team in Melbourne. This role is ideal for early-career marketers who want to build a career in international education—one of Australia's largest export industries.
What you will do
As a Marketing Officer at ACIC Melbourne, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering our marketing strategy to engage international students and strengthen our institutional partnerships. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Market Research & Insights: Research and analyse market trends, student demographics, competitor activities, partner institution offerings and pricing strategies to inform marketing initiatives.
- Strategy & Campaign Planning: Assist in developing and executing marketing, advertising and promotional strategies to grow brand awareness and student acquisition.
- Content & Digital Marketing: Manage and regularly update social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, WeChat, Xiaohongshu/RED, etc.), create engaging content, and design digital and print marketing materials.
- Promotional Campaigns & Events: Plan, coordinate and deliver online and offline promotional events, info sessions, and campaigns targeting international students and key markets.
- Video & Creative Production: Shoot, edit and produce promotional videos and other creative assets to support campaigns and brand storytelling.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor marketing metrics, evaluate campaign effectiveness, and prepare regular reports with insights and recommendations for management.
- Partnership Liaison: Work closely with Australian universities, schools and colleges to promote programs, share updates, and deliver joint marketing initiatives.
- Trends & Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest marketing tools, channels and trends in the international education sector to continuously improve campaign effectiveness.
- Team Support: Undertake other tasks and contribute to broader marketing projects as directed by management.

Education & Work Rights
A Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline.
- Full working rights in Australia (citizen, PR, or full-time work visa).
Technical & Professional Skills
Solid understanding of marketing principles, consumer behaviour and branding strategies.
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends and competitor insights.
- Proven ability to plan, implement and evaluate marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
- Experience managing social media platforms and creating digital content tailored to diverse audiences.
- Basic design and video production skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut or similar).
- Familiarity with Australian education system (AQF) and migration policies, or willingness to learn quickly.
Communication & Language
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Mandarin (Chinese) is essential due to client base and market focus.
- NAATI Chinese–English translation credential is highly regarded.

Desirable Experience (preferred but not essential)
Previous experience in marketing, sales, or customer service in an Australian office environment.
- Exposure to the international education industry or student recruitment campaigns.
