About the Role

Our client is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their Broken Hill office in a full-time, permanent Administrative position within a growing practice. This is a permanent, full-time position in Broken Hill, NSW.

In this role, you'll be working on behalf of the organisation, assisting internal stakeholders and clients, who help and advocate for individuals at very vulnerable times in their lives, with the matters covering Child protection, domestic violence, divorce proceedings and some simple property settlements. This fast-paced position involves general administrative duties, maintaining high standards of compliance and quality, and supporting lawyers in progressing matters through to mediation, the courts and the like.

You will work closely with the team, collaborating to provide comprehensive support over a range of duties, including court support, administrative support to counsellors and general communications internally and externally. The role is one of the first points of contact for the office and assists in being responsible for administration tasks for the efficient running of the office, whilst providing professional office duties, receiving and greeting incoming visitors.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing files from initiation to completion

  • Collating statistics and uploading to digital software

  • Acting as the first point of contact for clients and communicating in person, over the phone and online

  • Handling inbound and outbound calls with customers, addressing sensitive issues, and aiming for positive outcomes

  • Collaborating with lawyers

  • General administrational duties such as responding to emails and answering the phone

What You'll Need to Succeed

To thrive in this role, you'll need to be exceptionally organised with a keen eye for detail. You'll must maintain accuracy and timeliness in your work and you will be loyal, hard working and reliable.

You'll be part of a supportive and collaborative team, with hands-on training provided. A professional attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to remain composed under pressure are essential.
