Overview
Dental Assistant role at Far West Local Health District, Broken Hill NSW. This permanent part-time position (24 hours per week) offers a Recruitment Incentive Package up to $10,000 (conditions apply and may be pro-rata'd to contracted or ordinary working hours, payments paid fortnightly) under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.

Responsibilities
Support and assist dental clinicians in the provision of oral health services to patients.
Undertake administrative and reception duties – filing, maintain electronic patient database, appointment scheduling, wait list management, maintenance of stock and ordering.
Assist in the delivery of oral health promotion activities.
Qualifications
Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent work experience. Dental Assisting Certificate IV required for appointment at Grade 2.
Certificate III in Sterilisation Services or demonstrated capacity and commitment to work toward achieving this qualification.
Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to relate well to adults, children and other health professionals.
Demonstrated experience in infection control, instrument reprocessing and dental assisting.
Demonstrated ability to plan own work, manage priorities, use initiative and to problem solve.
Effective computer skills for communication and use of dental patient administration and management systems (e.g., Titanium). Proficient in Word and Excel.
Class C driver\'s licence with the ability and willingness to travel for work purposes.
