Sales Engineer – Wastewater & Water Treatment

The ClientThis is an exciting opportunity to join a global engineering business that designs and manufactures high-performance fluid handling and pumping systems used across water treatment, wastewater, and industrial process industries.
You'll be working with market-leading technology and a brand trusted by engineers, EPCs, and utilities around the world. Backed by strong technical support and local leadership, you'll have the tools and autonomy to make a real impact in a high-growth market.
The Role
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you'll be responsible for managing sales activities across EPCs, consultants, and end users within the wastewater and water treatment sectors.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and manage relationships with engineering, procurement, and project teams.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through technical engagement and specification.
- Support clients with technical product selection, system design, and application solutions.
- Work with internal applications and service teams to deliver tailored solutions.
- Maintain accurate reporting via CRM and collaborate on project tenders and proposals.
This is a balanced role – roughly 50% account management and 50% new business development – with an established base of loyal clients and projects to build from.
The Candidate
We're seeking a technically minded sales professional with a background in wastewater, water treatment, or process engineering.
You may come from a pump, valve, flow control, or industrial equipment background, or be an engineer who has transitioned into sales.
Ideal experience:
- Experience selling into the wastewater or water corporation.
- Ideal but not required - Understanding of positive displacement pumps or similar mechanical systems.
- Confident communicator – able to engage at both engineering and commercial levels.
- Calm, measured, and professional approach with a solutions mindset.
For the right candidate, our client is offering between $100K–$120K base + Super + $18K car allowance + uncapped bonus (OTE 200k+)
