About Us
We're a boutique, design-led tile & stone importer/distributor working with architects and interior designers across residential, hospitality, and commercial projects. We're a small, fun, professional team that values great service, attention to detail, and beautiful outcomes.
The Role (purpose)
Keep our studio humming and our books immaculate. You'll handle day-to-day bookkeeping in MYOB, general admin, and friendly front-of-house support for clients and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping (core):
- Accounts receivable/payable: invoicing, receipting, supplier bills, statements, and follow-ups
- Bank, card & petty-cash reconciliations; weekly cashflow updates
- Payroll support (including timesheets, leave tracking, superannuation)
- BAS/IAS preparation support and file maintenance for our external accountant
- Product/PO entry, landed-cost and inventory support; end-of-month checks
Administration & Studio Support:
- Reception: phone/email triage; greet trade clients in the studio
- Prepare quotes, proformas, and delivery dockets; book couriers/freight
- Sample dispatch, stock of packaging & stationery, tidy displays
- Maintain CRM/contact lists; update simple spreadsheets and templates
- Vendor liaison (quotes, ETAs, statements), basic compliance filing (WHS/insurances)
- Ad-hoc support to Sales/Projects (e.g., document formatting, pack sheets)
Must-Have Experience
- Proficient in MYOB (invoicing, bills, bank recs, payroll support)
- Demonstrated experience performing regular MYOB transactions including invoicing, processing bills, bank reconciliations, and payroll support
- Solid AR/AP and reconciliation skills in a small business environment
- Confident with Excel/Google Sheets, email/calendar, and basic file management
- Strong written & verbal communication
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in building/construction supply, interiors, or logistics
- Familiarity with Single Touch Payroll and working with external accountants/bookkeepers
- Basic understanding of inventory/PO processes and freight bookings
- Comfort using a CRM and/or simple cloud storage

What Success Looks Like (first 90 days)
- Weekly bank/card reconciliations completed on time
- Invoices sent within 24 hours; AR kept current; supplier statements reconciled monthly
- Samples dispatched same/next business day; deliveries booked accurately
- Studio processes documented (how-to notes/checklists) for smooth handover/backup
Qualifications & Requirements
- 2–4+ years in bookkeeping/admin (small business)
- MYOB proficiency essential; Excel/Sheets intermediate
- Australian work rights; able to work on-site in Drummoyne, three days/week
