We are seeking a passionate and experienced
Psychosocial Support Specialist
to join our dynamic team within Adult Mental Health Services (AMHS).
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in improving access to psychosocial support services for individuals with mental health challenges.

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.
About Mental Health Division:
Northern Health is the third largest mental health service in Victoria Northern.
Within the Mental Health Division, we pride ourselves on providing high quality mental health services to people living in the northern regions of Melbourne, and work in a collaborative way with consumers and carers based on recovery principles.
We aim to provide strong clinical leadership to support all staff in the provision of professional treatment and care by our integrated community teams, inpatient, and residential services.
About the Role:
As a
NDIS and Early Intervention Psychosocial Support Lead Clinician
, you will:
- Ensure that all eligible consumers are referred for psychosocial support, either through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) or the Early Intervention Psychosocial Response Program (EIPRS).
- Build capacity within Adult Mental Health Services (AMHS) to maximize access to psychosocial services.
- Act as the key liaison between AMHS and NDIS/EIPRS providers to ensure effective service delivery.
- Work closely with consumers, families, carers, and the community to support recovery and independence.
This position is a parental leave part time - 48 hours per fortnight until September 2026.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working in mental health, ideally with exposure to psychosocial support programs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in working with NDIS or similar service frameworks is a plus.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach to delivering mental health support.
