We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, and experienced, Senior Bookkeeper / Assistant Accountant to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is genuinely passionate about supporting clients with their bookkeeping and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly IAS/BAS
  • Process payroll including superannuation and payroll account reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate coding of transactions in Xero and MYOB
  • Perform bank account and end of month reconciliations
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Set up and support clients with new Xero files and add-on apps
  • Ensure accurate financial records across a portfolio of clients
  • Assist with financial statements and income tax returns
  • Provide general office administration support
  • Assist with business systems and app solutions for clients

What You'll Bring

  • Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping (or higher)
  • Registered BAS Agent preferred (not essential)
  • 3+ years' experience in bookkeeping or accounting in Australia
  • Experience with Xero and MYOB (Xero certification highly regarded)
  • Proficiency with Hubdoc, Outlook, Excel
  • Experience with other add-on apps (not essential, but highly regarded)
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Positive, proactive attitude and a collaborative mindset
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development
