Are you a compassionate, detail-oriented professional with a passion for service excellence? K.M. Smith Funeral Directors, a respected name in funeral care, is seeking a dedicated Co-Ordinator to oversee the smooth and dignified delivery of our services.

About the Role

As Co-Ordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the professional and orderly running of all funeral arrangements. You will ensure the presentation and minor maintenance of our fleet of Yaris vehicles, coordinate funeral arrangers, maintain our high standards across our premises and funeral arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all funeral arrangements with professionalism and care.
  • Coordinate arrangers and ensure seamless integration with other funeral processes.
  • Liaise with Medical Practitioners and the Coroner's Office
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety and legal standards are met.
  • Manage rostering and direction of daytime and after-hours staff.
  • Optimise staff usage between funerals and transfers.
  • Maintain clean, secure, and well-equipped premises.
  • Maintain and present the fleet of Yaris cars to a high standard.
  • Hold a valid Australian driver's licence.
  • Provide regular reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.
  • Identify and develop service improvements in collaboration with the CEO.
  • Uphold and enhance the reputation of K.M. Smith Funeral Directors through professional conduct.

About You. You are a self-starter with strong leadership and organisational skills. You inspire confidence in your team and colleagues, and you're committed to maintaining the dignity of our families and the reputation of our services. Experience in funeral services or a related field is highly regarded. A strong customer service ethos with good attention to detail is required to provide our service.

Relevant leadership experience would be an advantage.
