Ribs N Rums is a fun and dynamic Italian cuisine and tap beer bar delivering our customers a $39.99 trip to authentic Italian cuisine. Simple menu, energetic atmosphere and many happy customers. The food we serve is made fresh daily.
Ribs N Rums is currently looking for great personalities to join our team. We are looking for a Cook and Chef to join our team Think you have what it takes, or know someone who does?
Applicants must be able to maintain the high standards of the company, have the ability to work as a member of a team, possess strong attention to detail and be able and willing to both follow procedures & policies while always searching for and working with others to implement ways to improve how we do things. Duties and responsibilities (Cook)
Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
Clean food preparation areas and maintain hygiene standards
Set up staff workstations with the necessary ingredients and cooking equipment
Prepare cooking ingredients (measure ingredients, chop and peel vegetables and cut meat)
Prepare food using our approved recipes
Maintain customer expectations and accommodate guests with allergies
Monitor ingredient quality for freshness
Monitor stock levels and place orders
Liaise with front-of-house staff to ensure they serve hot food
Operate kitchen appliances and cooking apparatus
Portion and present food according to our expectations
Supervise kitchen hands
Duties and responsibilities (Chef)
Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
Manages the preparation and production of all hot or cold food items for the menu to ensure that they comply with the prescribed recipes and specifications.
Supervises kitchen shift operations and ensures compliance with all Food & Beverage policies, standards and procedures.
Maintains food preparation handling and correct storage standards.
Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (e.g. HACCP).
Leads shift teams while executing requests based on required specifications.
Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
Ensuring and maintaining the productivity level of Talent.
Ensures employees are cross-trained to support successful daily operations.
Understands the impact of kitchen operation on the overall property financial goals and objectives and manages to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
Responsibilities
With minimal supervision, complete delegated catering tasks according to Ribs N Rums' policies and procedures.
Adheres to all standard food preparation procedures and ensures all personal hygiene guidelines are adhered to.
Follow the requirements of the Ribs N Rums Manual.
Adhere to the Injury Risk Management program and guidelines.
Able to quickly access and understand the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for every chemical in the food services area and pinpoint the ingredient, safety, PPE required and storage information within the SDS.
Demonstrate a commitment to undertaking each task correctly and to your best ability.
