About the role:

Our client are seeking experienced Claims Specialists with a strong background in workers' compensation to join a leading professional services organisation. This role focuses on managing long-term claims, reviewing medical and rehabilitation information, and providing well-supported recommendations to both insurers and client businesses.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary healthcare providers, assess ongoing treatment and return-to-work strategies, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and service standards. This position requires strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and confident communication skills when dealing with complex and sensitive cases.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assess and review long-term workers' compensation claims, including treatment plans and progress reports.
  • Liaise with multi-disciplinary providers such as doctors, physiotherapists, and psychologists to gather and interpret clinical information.
  • Prepare clear, evidence-based recommendations for insurers and client organisations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, case notes, and compliance with workers' compensation legislation and internal protocols.
  • Operate confidently across multiple computer systems and claims platforms.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in claims management processes and client outcomes.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in workers' compensation or personal injury claims assessment (this is not an end-to-end case management role).
  • Strong understanding of workers' compensation legislation, clinical guidelines, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret medical information and assess treatment progress.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with a professional and empathetic approach.
  • High level of computer literacy and ability to navigate multiple claims management systems efficiently.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to handle high-volume workloads.

  • Qualifications in allied health, mental health, or occupational rehabilitation
