What you'll do

Reporting to the Claims Team Manager you'll be responsible for effectively managing a claims portfolio you will:

  • Pro-actively manage a portfolio of workers compensation claims in accordance with QLD state laws and policies to reduce the impact of workplace injury whilst ensuring that Injured Team Members receive their correct entitlements and are aware of their rights and responsibilities.
  • Facilitate resolution of workers compensation claims with a strong focus on engagement between injured team members and the business to bring about understanding, collaboration and continuous improvement in claims management.
  • Co-ordinate and manage external service and health providers and gather information from stakeholders to effectively manage the claim and facilitate recovery.
About you and your skills

To be successful in this position you will need a strong understanding of customer service with experience engaging and supporting customers in difficult situations. Ideally you will have 2 years+ claims management experience in workers compensation in QLD.  This position would suit someone with a qualification or certification in health or business-related field.

You'll also need:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience and skill with Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Claims or Electronic Information Management systems experience.
  • Knowledge of QLD state legislation will also be highly regarded.
