About the Role

Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking a skilled and motivated Engineering Technology Teacher to support the effective delivery of vocational and non-vocational education programs. This is a great opportunity to contribute to strategic projects, drive operational improvements, and support collaborative team success in a purpose-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, teach and assess learning activities that meet learner needs
  • Establish and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment
  • Implement learning processes and support student wellbeing
  • Engage with industry and maintain vocational currency
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and maintain accurate records
  • Mentor and support entry-level teachers and contribute to curriculum development
Skills and Experience Required
  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in Engineering Technology
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122/TAE40116) or equivalent
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Organised and detail-oriented with a solutions mindset
  • ExcellentICT skills and commitment to continuous improvement
Additional Requirements

Successful candidate will be required to provide:

  • A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • A National Police Check
