About the position UHE is excited to advertise 2-3 opportunities for casual (semester-based) academic positions .
All are in the Master of Engineering Management discipline.
Key responsibilities Academic Teachers will: Teach (and support the learning of) students in allocated subjects.
Coordinate the allocated subjects and complete all administrative tasks, such as monitoring and promoting student attendance / participation and end of semester results ratification reports.
Plan and deliver high-quality curriculum, pedagogy and learning experiences to students, including designing and following lesson plans.
Support students within and outside of timetabled subjects.
Track and manage subject-based allegations of breaches to academic integrity, including maintaining records and referring students to academic support services to prevent recurrences of academic misconduct.
Contribute to planning and implementation in the context of Generative Artificial Intelligence.
Contribute to (and lead as assigned) subject-based curriculum development to best ensure that it remains relevant to industry needs.
Ensure accurate records of student results and grades for each term of study.
Maintain, develop and promote currency of knowledge and developments in the respective discipline and in the scholarship of teaching and learning.
Other duties as determined by the CAO and/or the ACM.
Required skills and qualifications.
Ph D Graduate in Engineering.
Teaching experience (on a casual basis acceptable) with a preference for some experience in Australian higher education.
