Casual Teacher Engineering - Computer Numerical Control (CNC)

Chisholm Institute is seeking an experienced and student‑focused Casual Teacher for the Engineering team, specializing in Computer Numerical Control (CNC).

Location: Dandenong

Salary: From $86.15 per hour to $93.08 per hour + superannuation depending on experience and qualifications.

Overview

As a Casual Teacher Engineering - Computer Numerical Control (CNC), you will plan, deliver and adapt teaching sessions to engage learners, ensure compliance with regulatory standards and training packages, and support the development of effective teaching programs.

Responsibilities
  • Plan education practices and delivery sessions that engage learners
  • Ensure teaching materials and resources meet regulatory standards and training package requirements
  • Establish and maintain a positive learning environment and encourage students to take responsibility for their learning
  • Adapt learning and assessment materials for different students and learning environments
  • Undertake administrative, coordination and learning services activities related to the areas taught
  • Assist in establishing, maintaining and reviewing teaching programs
  • Maintain a respectful, safe environment free from discrimination, bullying and harassment
  • Support Chisholm's Social Justice Charter and its principles
About You

You are a highly motivated educator with well‑developed skills in transferring knowledge, researching and using diverse learning resources and assessment tools. You design and deliver teaching materials across multiple formats and use technology to engage learners while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or qualifications meeting the Standards for RTOs 2015
  • Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Vocational qualifications at AQF level 3 and/or level 4
  • Vocational currency as demonstrated through work and related experience
  • Record of Vocational Competency mapped to engaged Units of Competency
  • Record of Professional Currency with current industry and teaching knowledge
