This is an exciting opportunity to join our Melbourne team to work on a variety of new and interesting projects. You'll be working from our beautiful office in South Yarra, with a perfect in-office / work-from-home balance.

About our Tech Stack

Our team develops and maintains a variety of backends written in various frameworks for our React Native mobile apps and React web apps.

Our typical technology stacks look like:

• Backends:

• NodeJS, NestJS, TypeScript, Apollo Server GraphQL, PostgreSQL

• Elixir, Absinthe GraphQL, Phoenix, Ecto, PostgreSQL
• Python, Django or Fast API, PostgreSQL
• Supabase, Typescript, PostgreSQL
• Cloud: AWS with CloudFormation and CDK
• Mobile Frontend: React Native, Typescript, Apollo GraphQL or Redux-Toolkit
• Web Front End: NextJS, Typescript, Apollo GraphQL

We pride ourselves in having our team work across a variety of applications and clients whilst maintaining consistency in development tools.

This role will be focussed on backend development but an openness to working with and/or experience with React & React Native or other parts of our tech stack is a strong nice-to-have.

Someone who is a good fit for this role will:

• Truly love building great software
• Be able to demonstrate commercial experience in at least one of our backend technologies, with a strong preference for , Elixir and/or Python
• Have a good understanding and some experience in at least one of our frontend technologies
• Have worked in an agency or similar multi-project environment
• Be passionate about writing clean, well thought out code that follows standards
• Be able to manage their time well and work with little oversight
• Be a well-rounded person who cares about doing great work and delivering great outcomes

Don't worry if you are not a perfect technical fit as long as you have the right foundations, are adaptable and can learn quickly.

Bonus points if you have any of the following:

• Experience with DevOps, especially AWS
• React Native or other native iOS and Android development experience
• React Web development experience

Salary Range

The salary for this role is commensurate with experience and overall suitability of the candidate.

Indicative Guide:

• Mid-level: $100,000 - $125,000, plus super
• Senior-level: $125,000 - $145,000, plus super

Following your initial interview, we will provide an indication of where your expected salary will fall within this range.
