Challenz is a dynamic, challenge-driven social network that emphasizes short video clips, comedy, and originality. We are seeking Backend Developer Interns skilled in and , with practical knowledge of Supabase and Edge Functions, to contribute to building our backend infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Build and oversee RESTful APIs utilizing and
  • Develop scalable edge functions via Supabase
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers to connect backend to React Native (Expo)
  • Optimize performance for real-time video functionality

Bonus Qualifications

  • Familiarity with developing or assisting on short-video apps like TikTok
  • Knowledge of video editing, effects, and processing methods
  • Experience with React Native / Expo environments

Internship Details

  • Length: 3 months (unpaid)
  • Workplace: Remote (preference for applicants based in New Zealand or Australia)
