Senior Backend Developer

This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems and integrations that support our client's supply chain and related business operations. It involves working closely with stakeholders to solve operational challenges through robust software solutions.

You will play a key role in:

• Developing software (primarily in C# / .NET and other technologies) for clients in the supply chain or related industries.
• Collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) and key stakeholders to implement and test solutions for business operation challenges.
• Creating reports, defining business rules, and configuring or extending integrations with external applications.
• Analyzing existing system architectures and technologies.
• Applying a strong understanding of business operations and processes.
• Ensuring that the design and deployment of technical solutions align with customer expectations for security, performance, scalability, and capacity.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or other IT-related field.
• 10+ years experience in software development.

• This role requires someone to have demonstrated manufacturing experience. They should be able to demonstrate that they have worked on software that captures production information or similar.

• Experience and knowledge of C#, .Net for at least 1 year.

• Excellent knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, and backend technologies.

• Good knowledge of relational database concepts and hands-on experience with SQL.

• Hands-on experience in PowerShell and Command Line shell scripting languages
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working in a lean/agile development environment with remote teams
• Experience with source control tools (preferably Git).
• Unit/Integration testing experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work within a fast-paced, consulting environment.
• Ability to motivate and deliver results.

Desirable Experience –

• Experience in MES is a bonus.

• At least working proficiency in other languages (for example, Python, Javascript/ TypeScript, Angular, Java, REST API, or other related languages) is a bonus.

• Operations intelligence modules (Dashboards, Power BI, Data Warehouse).

• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (Swarm / Kubernetes).
• Basic integrations and custom development.
• Reporting customisation.
• Enterprise Integration.
• Business logic extension.
• Experience in unit testing frameworks.
