Cuisine Type: North/South Indian

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of North/South Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, dosas and traditional breads
  • Plan and design menus, ensuring a variety of options while maintaining authenticity
  • Monitor food preparation, presentation, and service to meet high standards
  • Assist the Chef
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
  • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to kitchen procedures
  • Work closely with the management team to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction

Requirements:

  • Education: Certificate IV in Kitchen Management and Diploma of Hospitality (mandatory)
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a similar role, specializing in North Indian cuisine
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards and kitchen management principles
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage kitchen staff effectively
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for high-quality cooking
