Opportunity currently exists for a Quality Coordinator to join the Quality team based in our Campbellfield Factory. The Campbellfield factory produces confectionery brands such as Kit Kat, Milky Bar, Smarties, Aero, Soothers, QuickEze, Chokito and many more which delight consumers worldwide.
The Quality Coordinator will champion excellence in practical application of the Quality Management System in the Manufacturing Leadership Team in a geographical area of the factory, supporting quality execution, quality investigation, and driving quality improvements and reduction in quality-related losses.
A day in the life…
Reporting to the QA Manager, key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Champion the implementation of Nestle Quality and Food Safety standards and associated guidelines, with particular focus on GMPs.
- Ensure that Quality Improvement opportunities are being captured in the area management routines.
- Lead and coach the production and maintenance teams on quality improvement opportunities and quality standards using Q Tagging & Identification methodology.
- Identify food safety hazards and quality deviations and work with manufacturing teams to reduce risk and non-conformances.
- Ensure investigations are completed for all Quality Incidents (incl: FB complaints, product quality failures, food safety and hygiene incidents {incl. hygiene monitoring failures})
- Proactively coach and train the production and maintenance teams on the standards of GMP.
- Coach execution of Quality Inspections; ensuring that operators are trained, inspections are being completed correctly, and action exists to address gaps. Ensure execution of on-line sensory process.
- Be responsible for execution of the following Q Compliance activities, contribute to the site internal audit program, including close out of manufacturing audit non-conformances from quality audits.
- Coach production and maintenance employees on the requirements of PICS and TGA-GMP.
- Support closure of skills gaps through coaching of Q methodologies. Design and deliver effective training and coaching to build competency.
What will make you successful
- Joining a collaborative team of specialists, you will be self-motivated, proactive and have a proven capacity to work effectively within a team environment.
- Diploma or degree qualified in Laboratory, Food Technology, or related field of study.
- Minimum 3+ years' experience as a quality specialist, preferably in HACCP.
- Experience with PIC/S GMP and TGA inspections.
- Batch release / release for supply.
- Experience with Product quality reviews, Process validation, Stability program and equipment qualification.
- Coordination of raw material specifications & testing program.
- Preferable to have knowledge of TGO92 and TGO101.
- Preferable to have experience with non-sterile medicine manufacture.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and a proven capacity to influence and negotiate to drive high standards of performance and quality.
