Communications & Events Manager
About the client:

About the role:
This role is responsible for delivering corporate and community events, awards program, and other related communication initiatives.
This includes managing a range of events like the Diwali, Chanukah, Lunar New Year, Iftar, International Translations Day and Staff Summits.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Deliver corporate and community events portfolio, awards programs, and related communications activities.
- Work across the broader communications team to manage and deliver projects, initiating best practice end-to-end project management including budget, procurement and supplier management, customer service, evaluation and related communications and marketing activities.
- Develop communication and engagement strategies to promote events, ticket sales and drive nominations.
- Evaluate projects against clear and measurable objectives to determine effectiveness and identify areas of improvement.
- Support strategic corporate and community partnership initiatives, activities and events.
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders including executive and staff, partner organisations and sponsors, and community and government leaders.
- Develop and manage a partnerships and events calendar.
- Manage other projects as required.
The Successful Candidate:
- Manage competing priorities in a high work volume environment while ensuring ethical decision making and sound record keeping.
- Manage productive and respectful relationships with senior government and community leaders, corporate and community partners.
- Influence collaboration and ownership across teams with competing priorities
- Manage project budgets, including record keeping and reporting as required.
- Supplier management to ensure best value for money and successful project delivery.
What's on offer?
The contract term is until 31st March 2026 with possibility of extension.
Located in Parramatta, NSW on a hybrid working arrangement.
