Job Description

As the Events Team Leader, you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all organisational events, ensuring each one aligns with your strategic objectives and exceeds ADF Careers' expectations. You will manage a dedicated team, collaborate with various departments, and oversee every detail from concept to completion. Your leadership will drive innovative event experiences that enhance your brand reputation, engage your audience, and deliver measurable results.

You will:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive events plans, encompassing timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate team members, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
  • Collaborate closely with the National Events & Engagement Leader for ADF Careers to understand event objectives and requirements, ensuring alignment with the National Events Strategy.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial requirements.
  • Ensure high standards of quality and professionalism are maintained in all aspects of event planning and execution.
  • Ensure compliance with Masterbrand guidelines and requirements. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that support improved policies and procedures, streamlining workflows, and ways of working, as well as attendee and candidate experience. Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement strategies and process to ensure all safety and compliance regulations are adhered to during events.
  • Track event performance metrics and prepare detailed reports, providing insights and recommendations for improvement based on data analysis.
  • Foster positive relationships within communities where events are held, leveraging events as opportunities for community outreach and engagement.
  • Successfully partner with Defence and subcontractors to ensure an integrated approach to events and engagement and ultimately target achievement.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain a high service level client relationship through the provision of services that meet or exceed the expectations of Defence and the Adecco contract, further encouraging a strong and ongoing relationship between Adecco and the Commonwealth of Australia.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, or a related field is desirable.
