About the role

As a fulltime sous chef, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the exceptional culinary standards that have made Authentic food group a renowned name in the industry.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting the head chef in the overall kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation and staff management
  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards
  • Collaborating with the culinary team to develop and refine new menu items that showcase the finest local and seasonal ingredients
  • Supervising and training a team of talented chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • Maintaining strict adherence to health, safety and hygiene regulations in the kitchen
  • Assisting with inventory management and cost control to optimise operational efficiency

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a sous chef or in a similar leadership role within a high-quality restaurant or hospitality establishment
  • Exceptional culinary skills and a deep understanding of various cooking techniques and flavour profiles
  • Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to motivate and develop a team of chefs
  • Excellent time management, multitasking and problem-solving skills
  • A passionate commitment to using fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients
  • A keen eye for detail and a focus on maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
