The multi award winning, multi venue hospitality operation, Gambaro Group, is seeking a passionate & experienced Sous Chef to help lead our enthusiastic & motivated kitchen team at Black Hide Steak and Seafood.

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills/qualities:

  • Ability to supervise the smooth running of a busy kitchen, including the daily preparation, production and presentation of food.
  • Being able to maintain standards and expectations in absence of the Head Chef
  • Being Motivated and driven to excel in all areas of running a kitchen
  • Confidence to utilize your staff management abilities and excellent communication skills to ensure your team know what to expect and deliver every time.
  • A thorough understanding of cost control for both food & wages.
  • Challenge driven with a strong passion for continued learning and self-development.
  • At least 2 years experience as Sous Chef.
  • Minimum of 5 years' previous A La Carte experience.
  • Believe in working to a consistent level of quality with a creative flair and eye for detail.
  • Understanding of kitchen safety standards and sanitary requirements
