
Associate - Non-Traded Market Risk

Join our Global Market Risk team based in Sydney who play a key role providing independent oversight across Macquarie's non-traded portfolios, in particular, interest rate risk in the banking book to meet both APRA requirements and internal risk appetite.

What role will you play?
In this role, you will support portfolios across Macquarie including investment banking and asset management in providing independent oversight of interest rate risk in the banking book. You will do this by building strong relationships with business stakeholders and aligned support teams. You will have ownership of an end to end platform, where you will have exposure to data and analytics, balance sheet modelling, risk methodology and model development. In addition, you will support the design and delivery of a range of new capabilities following recent changes in regulatory requirements.
What you offer
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Actuarial Studies or a similar discipline
- Solid understanding of financial products, financial risk and balance sheet concepts
- Demonstrable problem solving ability and excellent communication skills.

About the Risk Management Group
Our Risk Management Group works as an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie's material risks. We are a global team that aims to manage the risks of today and anticipate the risks of tomorrow. Our divisions include compliance, credit, financial crime risk, market risk, operational risk, aggregate risk and prudential, and central.
