Melbourne, Victoria, Australia BoardOutlook Full time $144,000 - $192,000 per year

BoardOutlook was founded in 2019 on the belief that we could build software to help more boards become great boards, for the collective benefit of directors, shareholders, employees and society as a whole. Since that time, we have worked with hundreds of boards and thousands of directors.

We're looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner to build and execute our global hiring strategy in collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team — delivering the critical hires that will drive BoardOutlook's next phase of growth.

How to apply

1. Why you want to work for BoardOutlook
1.1 What we do

BoardOutlook is a board performance platform designed specifically to enhance board effectiveness. Through rich diagnostics and powerful analytics, we provide boards with a holistic overview of their performance, helping them to understand areas for improvement and areas to optimise. We deliver hundreds of board performance processes globally and our clients range from large listed companies at the top of the FTSE 100 and ASX 100 to public sector and not-for-profit organisations.

1.2 Working at BoardOutlook

There are five values that form the foundation of our team ethos. Everyone we work with must display:

Simplicity: We prioritise simplicity and reduce complexity.

Attention to detail: Details matter, and we take pride in getting them right.

Urgency: We commit and execute with urgency, ensuring swift action.

Generous investment: We invest generously in each other's growth and success.

Optimism and ambition: We pursue ambitious goals and strive for outsized wins.

The stronger the points above describe you and the kind of people you like to work with, the more likely it is you'll succeed at BoardOutlook.

1.3 Ambitious growth plan

We have set ambitious targets and are well positioned to pursue rapid global and product expansion. We are already working with clients in the UK, Middle East, APAC, North America, South America and Europe. Joining us now means making an impact at a critical stage of growth, where your contributions will have direct influence on our trajectory.

2. About this role
2.1 Why we're hiring a Talent Acquisition Partner

We're scaling globally and need a partner who can build pipelines, activate networks and tell a compelling story that draws the right candidates to work at BoardOutlook.

2.2 What your first three months will look like

By the end of your first 90 days, you will have:

Built BoardOutlook's Global Hiring Plan — a 6, 12, and 18-month roadmap agreed with the CEO and leadership team, directly tied to scaling targets. You own the plan and the outcomes.

Closed five priority hires — five strategically critical roles filled with high-quality talent by year end, while active pipelines are in place for the next wave of critical hires.

Established a sourcing engine — a repeatable system (outbound, referrals, communities) delivering a steady flow of qualified candidates across priority functions.

Embedded process discipline — candidate outreach acknowledged same business day, applications screened within 3 days, and consistent use of interview scorecards/rubrics across all hiring managers.

Aligned brand presence — every job description, posting, and candidate-facing touchpoint reflects BoardOutlook's values and employer brand, making us competitive in the global talent market.

End-to-End Recruitment - Manage the full recruitment lifecycle ensuring a seamless experience for candidates and hiring managers.

3. About you

We're looking for someone with a strong track record in talent acquisition or executive search, ideally with 5+ years of experience and demonstrable success closing senior and specialist roles in high-growth contexts.

You will also bring:

Hustle and creativity in sourcing: you love the chase and know how to find great people, not just wait for them.

Strong background in talent acquisition or in-house recruitment. Recruitment in technology businesses and/or professional services firms ideal.

Storytelling ability: you can translate our mission into messages that resonate across markets and functions.

Stakeholder influence: credible with senior leaders; able to set pace, hold the process, and guide decisions.

Operational discipline: structured process management, clear SLAs, and strong pipeline hygiene.

Tech savvy: Great technical skills, exposure to various systems or recruitment technology platforms.

Global mindset: comfortable engaging talent across time zones and cultures; sensitive to local nuances.

4. Location and role

This is a global role. We have offices in Melbourne, Australia and London, United Kingdom. We work flexibly, but expect regular collaboration across time zones and some potential international travel for key meetings.

6 month contract with a mutual option to convert to a permanent and full-time position.

We are only considering candidates with full working rights in Australia.

5. Compensation

Our compensation package for this role is $120k - $160k + super (depending on experience).

6. Hiring process

Our hiring process is designed to test three things:

Capability to deliver on the role requirements (including a short practical test).

Approach and drivers, explored through interviews and references.

Cultural fit, tested against our target behaviours.

You can expect three interviews plus a short practical test. We respect your time and typically get back to candidates within days, not weeks.
