Your new role:

This role provides advanced clinical leadership, educational support and facilitation of midwifery students within the Nursing and Midwifery Practice Development Unit. You'll contribute to developing a positive learning culture and ensuring safe, person-centred care through evidence-based midwifery education.

In this role, you will:

• Provide expert clinical leadership, education and supervision to undergraduate and postgraduate midwifery students.
• Facilitate clinical placements, assess performance, and deliver constructive feedback to support competency development.
• Collaborate with Nurse and Midwife Educators to implement quality education and training initiatives aligned with organisational goals.
• Promote professional development, reflective practice and continuous learning within clinical teams.

About you:

You're a dedicated and passionate midwife with advanced clinical knowledge, excellent teaching skills and a genuine commitment to supporting the next generation of midwives. You lead by example, communicate effectively, and foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
• Demonstrated experience in providing clinical facilitation, assessment and mentorship within a midwifery education setting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to inspire and guide others.
• Advanced clinical knowledge, critical thinking and a commitment to evidence-based practice and quality improvement.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
