Your new role:
This role provides advanced clinical leadership, educational support and facilitation of midwifery students within the Nursing and Midwifery Practice Development Unit. You'll contribute to developing a positive learning culture and ensuring safe, person-centred care through evidence-based midwifery education.
In this role, you will:
- Provide expert clinical leadership, education and supervision to undergraduate and postgraduate midwifery students.
- Facilitate clinical placements, assess performance, and deliver constructive feedback to support competency development.
- Collaborate with Nurse and Midwife Educators to implement quality education and training initiatives aligned with organisational goals.
- Promote professional development, reflective practice and continuous learning within clinical teams.
About you:
You're a dedicated and passionate midwife with advanced clinical knowledge, excellent teaching skills and a genuine commitment to supporting the next generation of midwives. You lead by example, communicate effectively, and foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
- Demonstrated experience in providing clinical facilitation, assessment and mentorship within a midwifery education setting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to inspire and guide others.
- Advanced clinical knowledge, critical thinking and a commitment to evidence-based practice and quality improvement.
