About the role
Mater Private Hospital Brisbane is looking for an experienced orthopaedic Clinical Nurse or Registered Nurse to step into a Clinical Facilitator role. This is a permanent, part time opportunity working 32hrs per week based at our South Brisbane campus.
This role will support the Education Coordinator in the delivery of education strategies included in Mater Health's Strategic and Operational Plans. Additionally, you will promote and implement best practice/evidence-based practice; promote critical thinking and clinical problem solving; and ensure consistency in care delivery within a practice development and robust education model.
Salary range: $ $58.30 per hour plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+access to many staff benefits
What you'll be doing
As a Clinical Facilitator within Clinical Education, you will be primarily responsible for:
- Supporting professional development of nursing team through education and delivering safe, quality patient care
- Coordinating unit and organisational objectives related to education, safety standards, policies, and best practice models
- Implementing and evaluating new policies and models of care
- Providing clinical facilitation and monitoring of education initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards
About you
Essential:
- Current and unrestricted registration and endorsement (where applicable) with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife
Desired:
- Postgraduate qualifications in the relevant speciality (Nursing / Midwifery and/or Education) or working towards the same
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, current or enrolled
- Minimum of five years of clinical experience in Orthopaedics
- Demonstrated experience in clinical facilitation and/or clinical supervision
Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical education.
