Quality and Production Administrator – Part Time (2–3 Days per Week)
IMF Steel Construction
Join a leading structural steel fabricator and play a key role supporting our quality and production teams.
About Us
IMF Steel Construction is a trusted provider of structural steel fabrication and installation services to the infrastructure, mining, and heavy industrial sectors. With a reputation for quality, safety, and reliability, we deliver complex steel projects across NSW and beyond.
We're looking for a Quality and Production Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis (2–3 days per week). This role provides vital administrative and document control support to both our quality and production functions, ensuring our operations run smoothly and remain compliant with client and company requirements.
The Role

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain and update Welder Qualification and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) registers.
- Assist with the issue and receipt of supplier RFQs and job documentation.
- Support the preparation of job packs, including drawings, ITPs, and related production documents.
- Provide administrative support for production meetings, scheduling, and reporting.
- Undertake reception duties including answering phones, greeting visitors, and managing general office tasks.
- Assist with document control and data entry to support compliance and audit readiness.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation and administrative systems.
About You
You'll be organised, proactive, and detail-focused, with strong administrative skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or fabrication environment will be highly regarded.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven administrative experience, ideally within a technical or industrial environment.
- Strong Microsoft Office and document control skills.
- Understanding of quality or compliance documentation.
- Effective communication and coordination across departments.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 systems or welding documentation (desirable).
Qualifications:
- Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration (preferred).
What We Offer
- Part-time role (2–3 days per week)
- Supportive, team-based environment with hands-on involvement.
- Stable role in a reputable, growing business.
- Opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our production and quality processes.
