About the Role

We are seeking a recent business/accounting graduate with 2-3 years' experience to join our North Sydney team as an FP&A Analyst. This role offers an exciting opportunity to delve into the detail of financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting in order to support business decision-making through data-driven insights.

As part of a small team, reporting directly to the FP&A Manager, you will bring a balance of management accounting rigor and commercial acumen, with the ability to effectively communicate the story behind the numbers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Financial Analysis: Dive deep into financial data, delivering compelling insights and commercial analysis that empower stakeholders.

• Management Reporting: Assisting with the delivery of high-quality monthly, quarterly, and annual management and board reports that provide actionable insights into the company's financial and operational performance.

• Cashflow Management: Assist in data collection backing weekly cashflow forecasting and cash management processes to ensure liquidity and financial stability.

• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting activities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational needs.

• Funding Compliance: Drive quarterly analysis on working capital, supporting funding compliance requirements.

• Business Partnering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide decision support, facilitate data-driven discussions, and drive financial accountability across the business.

• Ad-Hoc Analysis & Projects: Provide advanced financial analysis and assist the FP&A Manager on projects that support strategic decision-making.

Your Background

You will bring the following:

• Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification - highly desirable.

• 2 years of management accounting experience, ideally with multi-entity and group-level reporting.

• Advanced Excel skills, with proficiency in working with complex financial models and producing quality and insightful analytics.

• A track record of delivering actionable insights through clear and concise reporting.

• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

• Excellent reporting-writing and interpersonal communication skills.

• Experience in the renewable energy or broader energy sector - highly regarded.
