Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Falcon Financial Advisers Pty Ltd Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year
Company Overview:

Falcon Financial is a rapidly growing financial advice business, closely aligned with a highly reputable accounting group, servicing clients across the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Newcastle, and Southeast Queensland. Through a tried and tested business model, we truly believe the best path to success is by nurturing and developing people to best serve our clients and grow the business.

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Client Services or Paraplanning professional in the first few years of their Financial Advice career looking to take the next step into an Associate role.

The successful candidate will form an integral part of our business, acting as the go-between for the principal adviser and specialist paraplanning and client services teams, whilst building relationships with our clients in answering their queries. Ultimately this role will develop you into an authorised financial adviser. You'll have full support to undertake your professional year upon passing a probationary period.

This full-time role offers an exceptional opportunity to work closely with our principal financial adviser and business founder, gaining exposure to every aspect of the practice. This role will not see you tied to the desk all day writing advice documents or processing administration, as we have strong back-office support in place. Rather, you will have a direct role in the development and provision of advice to our clients from end to end, often building and managing those relationships yourself as you grow into the role.

Responsibilities:

  1. Engage and qualify prospective clients who are introduced to the business.
  2. Assist the principal financial adviser in preparing for client meetings and taking file notes along with implementing post meeting actions and tasks.
  3. Collaborate with the Advice, Client Services and Paraplanning teams in assisting with the development of financial plans and strategy papers for clients.
  4. Developing financial modelling and projections across wealth and insurance matters.
  5. Checking financial review, and client presentation packs prepared by Client Services for accuracy and completeness.
  6. Stay updated on industry regulations, compliance standards, and best practices in financial advising.
  7. Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
  8. Contribute to the growth and success of the firm through proactive engagement and initiatives as set by the business.
About You:

It is an expectation that you will have spent several years in an advice practice and understand the systems, processes and suppliers we rely on to successfully support our clients and grow the business. This includes a strong understanding of Xplan and its various modules, along with wealth platforms, investments and life insurers we partner with to implement advice for our clients.

For the right candidate we will provide all the support and investment you need to thrive as a Financial Adviser, including a commitment to commencing and guiding you through your Professional Year.

Required Attributes:

  • A growth mindset and commitment to being a team player.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of systems and processes in a financial advice office.
  • An interest in engaging with clients and other stakeholders of the business.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and understand numbers.
  • Strong organisational skills and with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and timeframes and meeting deadlines.
  • An eye for detail and experience in reviewing documents and work papers.
  • Curious nature and a passion for personal finance.
  • A desire to support the growth of the business and play an active role in improving processes and innovation.
  • A commitment to professionalism whilst still wanting to have fun along the way.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience working in a Financial Advice practice in a Paraplanning or Client Services role.
  • Working knowledge of Xplan and its various modules.
  • Experience working with major investment and superannuation platforms and life insurers.
  • FASEA Approved Degree, or currently working to its completion.
Why Join Us?
  • Attractive remuneration package
  • Mentorship and guidance from a highly capable senior financial adviser and founder who is genuinely committed to supporting the next generation of emerging Financial Planning Professionals.
  • Exposure to a wide range of clients and financial planning scenarios.
  • Support for professional development and pursuit of relevant certifications (e.g., qualifying study requirements, CFP).
  • Clear pathway to becoming a financial adviser and potential partnership within the firm.
  • Opportunity to work in multiple locations across Sydney, Newcastle, and the Gold Coast.
  • Access to a supportive and inclusive work environment that values growth, collaboration, and integrity.
