Creative Kids Childcare is a highly regarded, family-owned service dedicated to providing exceptional early childhood education and care. Our Bundaberg Centre offers a warm, engaging and collaborative environment where children, families and educators thrive.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Director to join our leadership team and support the Nominated Supervisor in delivering high-quality care and education.
The Role
As Assistant Director, you will work closely with the Centre Director to ensure the smooth daily operations of the service. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and mentoring a team of dedicated educators.
- Driving continuous improvement in line with the National Quality Framework and ACECQA standards.
- Assisting with rostering, compliance and day-to-day Centre management.
- Building strong relationships with children, families and the wider community.
- Working on the floor and within ratio for approximately 10–15 hours per week. This is not a fully non-contact role—you'll actively contribute to the children's learning environment while providing leadership and mentoring support.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent as recognised by ACECQA) or working towards.
- Proven leadership experience in an early childhood setting.
- A strong understanding of the National Quality Standards (NQS) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and support educators.
- Current Blue Card, First Aid/CPR, and Child Protection training.
