Your Opportunity:

  • To provide high level musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapy clinical services to patients of Bundaberg Hospital.
  • To deliver professional leadership and act as a resource in their area of expertise within the Bundaberg Hospital including clinical practice supervision of less experienced physiotherapists and clinical support staff. The position will function and participate in interdisciplinary and collaborative teams within the Bundaberg Hospital.
  • To collaboratively manage the day-to-day operational service delivery to musculoskeletal outpatient clinical area ensuring quality outcomes in collaboration with the Director of Physiotherapy.

What we're looking for:

  • High level of knowledge, clinical expertise and complex problem solving to provide musculoskeletal physiotherapy clinical services within the outpatient setting.
  • Effective and independent clinical functioning as a senior practitioner and within interdisciplinary teams including prioritisation, appropriate intervention and care focused on improving patient outcomes and patient flow.
  • Clinical leadership and clinical practice supervision skills.
  • High level communication skills and ability to participate in a physiotherapy and/or multidisciplinary team involving staff, clients, and their families/carers.
  • Participation in relevant professional development, research, and continuous learning to ensure the progression of individual clinical standards commensurate with a senior role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution as a Physiotherapist and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.
  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
  • It is highly desirable to possess a post graduate qualifications or equivalent demonstrated expertise in physiotherapy practice related to public hospital musculoskeletal outpatients. The position requires significant post graduate experience and expertise in a complex patient environment and relevant contemporary professional development, or post graduate qualifications.
  • The appointee may be required to work a 7-day roster and on-call in addition to participating in occasional rostered overtime.
  • This position involves manual tasks and assistance. Applicants will be expected to cope with the physical demands of this position.
  • As workload dictates you may be required to work clinically in other areas of the facility.

Our offer:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $157,360 p.a., comprising salary between $128,196 - $137,918 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f.)
