About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Production Draftsperson to join our team at our Derrimut Office. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality architectural drawings and designs to support the development of new residential properties.

What you'll be doing

  • Deliver high level design scopes and detailed design on varying product types
  • Ensure all working drawings, house sitings, site levels, buildability, structure - are in line with building codes, council requirements, developer requirements, external stakeholder requirements and Mimosa Homes standards
  • Provide drawings and documentation for contracts/colour variations and final plans for site start
  • Provide cost effective solutions when posed with a non-standard design or current designs.
  • Prepare full working drawings with accuracy to be submitted for building permit, energy rating and developer submission
  • Prepare and update marketing plans as required
  • Produce and update master plans as required
  • Provide construction detailing solutions that clearly maintain design intent and consider build-ability
  • Prepare contract drawings upon request
  • Maintain an awareness of all matters relevant to the design and production of the deliverables for the project

What we're looking for

  • Advanced ArchiCAD skills (must)
  • 3-5 years' experience required (residential drafting experience)
  • Australian Residential drafting experience is essential
  • Understanding of Australian standards, NCC, RESCODE and Small Lot Housing Code
  • Experience working within the Medium Density sector is a must
  • Positive, passionate and hardworking attitude
  • Exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders
  • The ability to prioritise, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Excellent presentation and confident communication
  • Computer literacy and high attention to detail
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Ability to work with others from office to sales to clients
  • Demonstrated ability to design and manage documents and revisions control
