Our Opportunity
PROK is currently recruiting for a Procurement Officer to support the procurement team in managing procurement activities, including sourcing suppliers, managing purchase orders, and assisting with contract formation. The position is a full-time permanent opportunity based in Bayswater, WA.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Plans under the guidance of Procurement Manager.
 - Procure required goods and services as per weekly/monthly internal procedures
 - Support workshop with requisitions. Review requisitions on a weekly basis for accuracy and reasonableness ensuring correct coding & authorisation
 - Regularly expedite placed purchase orders
 - Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers
 - Continuously review and benchmark current and potential suppliers to identify cost savings and ensure the company is procuring the best available value for money goods and services
 - Support resolution of purchase order issues, queries and discrepancies
 - Support Purchasing Manager with strategic projects
 - Provide accurate and timely reports on agreed key performance metrics
 
The Right Person
To be considered for this opportunity, the right person will have:
- A formal purchasing/supply chain management course qualification would be highly regarded
 - Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
 - Previous experience in the delivery of end-to-end procurement through an ERP system (Pronto experience is considered highly desirable)
 - Ability to plan and prioritise workload in a fast paced, dynamic environment
 - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
 - Ability to learn and apply strategic evaluation and problem-solving skills.
 - Strong Attention to detail with a willingness to learn.
 - Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
 - Eagerness to collaborate with a wide range of people at all levels.
 - Interest in developing negotiation skills and procurement knowledge.
 - Self-motivated with a desire to work independently and as part of a team.
