THE ORGANISATION
Our client is a leading agency that works with the Australian TV/film industry.
The agency supports the production of Australian drama and documentary screen content, and invests directly in Australian television, film and digital titles.
THE ROLE
An opportunity has arisen for an Assessor to join the Sydney office.
You will report to a Senior Manager in the Producer Offset/Co-production team and you will also work closely with the legal team.
The role requires you to: undertake assessments of applications for the Producer Offset, review and interpret legislation, review financial statements, prepare reports, consider budget reviews for funding. You will also provide admin support for the team, where necessary.
PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS A 2 YEAR CONTRACT, WHICH WILL BE RE-ASSESSED FOR EXTENSION AFTER THE INITIAL 2 YEAR PERIOD.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful you will:
-
Be a lawyer who has had experience interpreting legislation, ideally in media (TV/film), or alternatively experience working at the ATO;
-
Alternatively a non-lawyer with similar relevant work experience;
-
Ideally have demonstrated knowledge of the producer offset scheme, including its legislative criteria and procedural rules;
-
Have an awareness of current issues facing the TV/film production industry;
-
Excellent team work and interpersonal skills;
-
Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and experience using databases;
-
Have a genuine passion for the TV/film industry;
