Job Overview

This role is responsible for mentoring and guiding producers of all levels, with a focus on junior and associate producers.

The successful candidate will work closely with the global new business team to support projects in their early stages, as needed.

They will also oversee newly awarded projects that don't yet have an assigned producer and work with the head of production to assign new shows to the appropriate producer.

A key aspect of this role is handover – ensuring that new projects are successfully passed from one producer to another with detailed briefs and project overviews.

The position also involves overseeing creative and financial progress of shows where junior or associate producers are in place and reporting findings to the head of production.

Regular meetings will be held with experienced producers to ensure production is running smoothly and provide advice when needed.

Additionally, the candidate will attend weekly meetings with the head of production to discuss current project status and potential incoming new projects.

Maintaining positive studio/client relationships and acting as a point of escalation for issues on shows is also a critical component of this role.

Strong collaboration with production accounts is essential for tracking the financial health of projects and providing detailed reporting.

Requirements
  • Significant experience as a high-end feature film VFX producer
  • Proven track record in project management, including scheduling and budgeting
  • Experience in bidding and winning work
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple VFX shows
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to manage production teams under pressure
  • Expertise in building effective working relationships and communication
