Position Profile
: This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and values-led individual to join the Office of the Executive Director in the Intergovernmental Relations and Community Programs (IGRCP) Directorate. The Directorate engages with major stakeholders at a national level and is running innovative local pilot programs to bring about changes that positively impact the health outcomes for our most vulnerable West Australians.
The role is responsible for the efficient and effective coordination and tracking of all correspondence for the Executive Director (ED) IGRCP to ensure best practice in document management. An ideal candidate for the role of Correspondence Coordinator would be able to work in a fast-paced and multifaceted environment, possess exceptional English proofreading skills with high attention to detail and be able to draft succinct key messages tailored to the needs of the audience.

Eligibility to Apply:
Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector.
Other Conditions:
WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. WA Health policies require applicants to undertake criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process. Referees may also be asked to comment on an applicant's integrity and past demonstration of ethical behaviour.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 30 September 2026.
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.

Essential Criteria To Be Addressed
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
- High level of planning and organisational skills and a demonstrated ability to complete work within set timeframes.
- Demonstrated high level analytical and problem-solving ability and initiative.
- A sound understanding of Government communication protocols, procedures and standards.
- Demonstrated experience in drafting succinct communication assets incorporating key messages tailored to the audience.
- Demonstrated experience in working with document management systems, corporate templates and Microsoft Office programs, with proven ability to quality assure correspondence as per departmental templates, standards and style guide.
